Goodyear has been known to offer free birthday cards to the needy, including the hungry.
The Australian company said it would not only cover the cost of the cardholder’s meal, but also the cost to get it from the cash register, and the cost for its staff to pack and deliver it.
It said the card would also be available for purchase at its retail outlets.
The company said people in rural communities, working in jobs that do not require a daily income of more than $60,000, and those who live in households with children under the age of six would be eligible.
It noted people who live on a fixed income and do not have a bank account, or who are not employed full-time, could also receive the card.
“For some people who are already struggling to make ends meet, and are looking for extra help, Goodyear Credit Card can help,” it said.
“As a new member of our community, you’ll be eligible to receive a free Goodyear Birthday Card and it will also be a great way to help feed the hungry in your community.”
