This is a trick I’ve come up with and I hope you enjoy it.
My birthday card trick is to trick the reader into believing I am celebrating a birthday by giving them a birthday card with the message, “Happy Birthday!” on the front and the date.
So, let’s say I am at the local mall, and a woman asks me, “What do you think you’re celebrating today?”
I respond with, “My birthday.”
Then she asks me again, “Is it true that you’re planning a birthday party tomorrow?”
The response is, “I have a party today.”
So now the woman thinks I’m celebrating my birthday, but it’s really just a joke.
But the trick is not to be so obvious.
Let’s pretend you have a friend who just gave you a birthday gift.
She has given you a gift card and you are happy with it.
Now, suppose she is going to give you another gift card, this time to her friend’s house.
How do you trick her into thinking the second gift is yours?
The answer is by saying, “So you can tell her that you bought a birthday present for her.”
The message would be, “You bought a gift for me.”
And that would make it look like you are enjoying your birthday, which you are not.
I know this sounds like a very obvious trick, but I assure you, it is very effective.
In fact, I found it so effective that I had to do it over and over again to keep the trick from ending up in a pile of garbage.
